David D. Holland

Host of PlanStrongerTV™

Biography

Born into a family of teachers, David Holland grew up in the quiet little town of Bunnell, Florida. In 1991, after graduating from the University of North Florida, he started his career with an international accounting firm in Jacksonville. He later moved back to Volusia County when offered a position with Brown and Brown Insurance.

Unable to fulfill his desire to help individuals reach their long-term planning goals at the insurance company, David decided to forge his own path in financial services.In 1997, he founded Holland Financial, and, in time, added complementary businesses to support the needs of his clientele (Holland Advisory Services; Holland, Tacinelli, CPAs; and Holland Business Brokers).

Aside from David's daily work as CEO and adviser, he has been prolific in producing a variety of teaching materials, including hundreds of newspaper columns and two books on retirement planning. In 2011, David began hosting the radio show, "Real Money with David Holland". He made the leap to broadcast TV in 2017 with PlanStrongerTV™.

David's first venture into entrepreneurship was the founding of Holland Financial in 1997. Under David's leadership, the company is a thriving financial planning firm. Its subsidiary, Holland Advisory Services, is a registered investment advisory firm which shares 10,000 square feet of office space with Holland Financial and Holland, Tacinelli, CPAs and Holland Business Brokers. David is also the CEO of PlanStronger™ Media, which has a newly constructed studio facility to facilitate in-house television and video production.

Giving back to the community has always been important to David Holland. He has provided life-saving defibrillators to local recreation facilities. Also, over the years, he has supported a variety of organizations with a mission to help those experiencing homelessness or hunger, especially those providing food and resources to children living in poverty. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Holland Financial was pleased to help the Jerry Doliner Food Bank with donations, both monetary and in kind.

After five years and more than 1,000 radio shows (Real Money and PlanStronger™ Radio), David embarked on a new venture with PlanStrongerTV™. Filmed at Daytona State College in Daytona Beach, David's show debuted on broadcast television in Central Florida in 2017, and was soon picked up by over 100 public television stations across the United States. Focused on a wide variety of financial topics, PlanStrongerTV™ brings in guests from around the country to share their knowledge and expertise.

Not only has David penned financial columns for several newspapers in the past, he has also authored two books in his Confessions of a Financial Planner series:
